It is day two at the Waystone Inn, and Kvothe is telling Bast and Chronicler the second part of his tale. Back at the university, a young Kvothe is just beginning his adventures.

The teachers are fantastic. I think The Wise Man’s Fear is strongest while Kvothe is at the University… which, unfortunately, is only of the book. These parts stand out to me like a beacon in the darkness. As for the rest of the story… I feel like The Wise Man’s Fear lost a lot of the balance of The Name of the Wind.
